Usually if you put “Lauren Scanlon Drums” and the postcode into Gmaps it will find it. Satnavs will sometimes try to take you to house number 11 instead of Unit 11 so once you’re on Gresham Road look out for the industrial estate. I am the first unit as you pull into the car park and you should be able to park right outside in the space next to the gate. The door will be locked so ring the bell when you arrive and I’ll come and let you in.

During the Lesson:

If you are a parent accompanying a student to a lesson, there is a waiting area which you are welcome to use. Help yourself to a hot drink and feel free to log into the wifi, the password is stuck to the fridge. Some very young or nervous students prefer their parents to sit in on the lesson and this is absolutely fine, however I would encourage them to try and take their lesson independently after a few weeks as I find that most students work better like this. It’s also quite a small room and drums are loud and I promise the waiting room will be more comfortable!

What to Bring:

You’re very welcome to borrow some of mine for your first couple of lessons but going forward, please bring your own drum sticks as often as possible. I have some for sale at the studio or you can buy them from most music shops or Amazon. Please bring any sheets I have given you in the previous lesson so we can continue working on it. Most students like to get a folder to keep all of their sheet music in.

Payment:

30 minute lesson = £20
60 minute lesson = £34
6x30mins = £108
6x60mins = £192

I will send you a payment link before the lesson and you can pay directly through this link. I will send a new link for each lesson and I usually try to send them out on Fridays for the following week.. Most students prefer to do a few individual lessons before committing to a block of 6 but block bookings are available and come with a discount, let me know if you would like to swap to block bookings and we can chat about this in more detail.

Cancellation Policy:

I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your lesson within 48 hours of your lesson time then you can carry the payment over to the next lesson. If notice is not given then the lesson will still be charged for. Click HERE to read the full cancellation policy.

Contract:

After a couple of lessons, if you wish to have regular lessons I will ask you to sign a contract. I ask this of all pupils who have a regular time slot reserved for them regardless of how they pay for it. This is just to ensure that reserved slots are being used most of the time.
